I was driving and when I got home my car turned off cause I completely ran out of gas, I put gas in and everything was fine and the next day I was driving on E for a long time but car didn't die out this time I added more gas and drove about 60mi and when I got home I tried to start my car again but it wouldn't Start I thought it might me the battery so I tried to jump but didn't work so I just relaxed it and it still didn't work so now I'm thinking it could be either the fuel filter or the fuel pump, what do u think can some1 help me out here? did you mean that it would turn over and not start, not understanding why you jumped it,if it was turning over fine anyway,if its turning over fine then yes it is possible that you have damaged the pump or pulled up sediment in the tank clogging the filter, check for fuel, visibly or pressure test if in doubt.you should be able to hear the pump run for at least 10 seconds if your near the tank and have someone turn on the key.and its quiet. Check to see if you have fuel pressure driving on empty and making a habit of it will burn your fuel pump out it uses the gas to cool the pump down. i would have to say it,s the fuel filter. when you let it run low then dirt got into the filter. running low like that you have a chance of burning up the pump. Nissan . How to Remove Mildew Odors from a CarLeft the windows open in a rainstorm? The resulting mildew not only stinks--it can be indicative of mold in your vehicle. Getting at the source is the first step in returning your car's interior to its pre-shower state. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Towel Baking Soda Window Cleaner Odor Absorber and/or Enzyme Cleaner Cotton Swabs Hair Dryer Step by Step : 1 Try to find the source of the odor. Check rugs, upholstery and air conditioning vents for signs of mold or moisture. 2 Thoroughly dry the affected area by soaking up any liquid with a towel, then use a hair dryer to dry it completely. 3 Remove the floor mats and lay them out in the sun for a few days if the weather permits and if they are the source of the odor. 4 Sprinkle baking soda over the floor and upholstery of affected areas. Work it into the rugs with your hands. 5 Let it remain at least overnight and then vacuum. 6 Use a commercial odor absorber or enzyme cleaner according to directions if some odor remains. 7 Clean air conditioner vents with a cotton swab dipped in window cleaner. If you still smell mildew in your air conditioning system, try running the heater full-blast for 10 minutes to dry it out, leaving the windows open. 8 Take the car for a professional interior cleaning if all else fails. Tips & Warnings Charcoal briquettes help absorb moisture and odors. Put them under the seats and let them remain until odor is gone. On warm days, leave the car windows open to let the car air out. Floor mats are easily replaceable and it may be easier to replace them than to remove the mildew odor. If the mildew smell remains in your air conditioning vents, try an odor- or mildew-eliminating spray (like Lysol) or a spray product especially made for air conditioning systems. Be careful that the hair dryer doesn't overheat or come in contact with anything in the car that is not heat-resistant. If moisture has penetrated into seat pads, you may have to replace them in order to eradicate the smell.
Nissan . How to Get Rid of a Dead Mouse Smell in a CarTo get rid of dead mouse smell in the car, the first thing to do is get rid of the dead mouse. Once removed, the dead mouse odor can last for several weeks. No matter how many scented candles, air fresheners or bags of potpourri you have kept in the car, this is just not enough to get rid of the hideous smell. These might mask the smell of the dead mouse temporarily but for a permanent solution, you need to do more. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Gloves HEPA mask 1 1/2 cup household bleach 5 cups water Spray bottle Plastic Bag Disinfectant cleaner Water Cloth Vacuum cleaner Vinegar Odor absorber or neutralizer Mint freshener or crushed leaves Step by Step : 1 Remove the dead decaying mouse from the car. Wear protective gear like gloves and a HEPA mask as the dead rodent may carry diseases. 2 Make a cleaning solution to coat the dead mouse with before removing it from the car. According to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the solution can be made using a 1/2 cup of household bleach with 5 cups water. Pour the solution in a bottle and spray it on the mouse and let it soak for 15 minutes to kill all bacteria and viruses it might be carrying. 3 Put the dead mouse in a garbage bag and tie the ends tightly so the smell cannot escape. 4 Clean the affected area with a commercial disinfectant cleaner, water and cloth. Vacuum the car carpet and wipe the seats and gears properly. Consider getting the car interiors washed by a professional. 5 Spray some liquid bleach cleaning solution on the area where the dead animal was removed from. Liquid bleach will instantly give relief from odor problems. 6 Pour a cup of vinegar in a spray bottle and spray around the car interiors. Vinegar is safe on carpet and cloth but should not be used on leather. Spray the solution on the surface and let it sit for 5 minutes. Wipe vinegar away with a clean damp cloth. 7 Place an odor absorbers or odor neutralizers like Oust or Febreeze near the source of the odor. These products are made to eliminate the smell and not just simply mask it. You may consider placing natural odor absorbers like a bowl of un-brewed coffee grounds, baking soda, sliced onions, bowl of vinegar or activated charcoal. Natural odor absorbers may be required to sit overnight. 8 Place a mint freshener or some crushed mint leaves in the car as it is a natural mice deterrent and keeps them away. *the bridge, surveying the blue ocean with your binoculars, when suddenly you see an iceberg dead ahead. Instead of running down to the engine room and personally reversing the propellers so that the ship will move backward, you pick up the intercom and call the engine room, saying, "This is the cap tain speaking. Reverse engines!" The person in the engine room hears you and does what's necessary. The ship is saved. In a car, with a crew of one, you're still at the wheel giving orders. But you're giving them to a vehicle that can't hear you. You need a piece of machinery to communicate with other machines. In this case, that piece is your gearshift. By moving the gearshift with your hand, you can tell the transmission what to do. Then the transmission tells the wheels via the driveshaft. With the aid of the drive train, you can not only tell your wheels to go for ward or backward, but you can tell them how fast to go as well. When you step on the accelerator, you compel the engine to produce power, but that 404

There are ways to convey that extra power to the wheels by controlling how fast they turn in relation to the engine's speed when you're going up a hill, pulling a heavy load, or just trying to overcome inertia and get the car started. So your transmission has more than just forward and reverse gears; it has low and high gears, too. Some transmissions have as many as six forward gears to control power and speed efficiently. (I won't even talk about those huge semis with 14 and more forward gears!) In all cases, the lower gears provide more power at lower speeds. The higher gears provide less power but allow the vehicle to move at higher speeds because the wheels can Nissan . What are some parts of an atomobile that start with the letter A?

When you are not stepping on the clutch pedal, this disk is forced against the flywheel (see Step 4). A coating of friction material causes the two plates to adhere to each other, which forces them to turn at the same speed. 4. Next to the clutch disk is the clutch pressure plate. This mechanism forces the clutch disk against the flywheel or allows it to move away from the flywheel when it is time to change gears. Here's how it does that: • When you step on the clutch pedal to disengage the clutch and disconnect the engine from the transmission, a clutch release arm forces a throwout bearing into the pressure plate's release levers. As a result, the pressure on the clutch disk is released, and the disk can turn independently of the flywheel. 1 7Q Part II: What Makes It Go? • After you move the gearshift to the proper gear, you release the clutch pedal. This movement causes springs in the pressure plate to force the disk against the flywheel again, and both the disk and the flywheel resume spinning together at a new speed. Nissan .
